with Diabetes 


Accessible from a smartphone, tablet or computer, this
online video conferencing class covers topics such as
monitoring blood sugar, medications, meal planning tips,
basic nutrition and how to avoid the complications of diabetes.

Smoking and Tobacco
Cessation Group


We understand that quitting smoking (and other forms of tobacco)
is essential to good health, crucial to cancer prevention—and
extremely difficult.  To help provide the guidance and support most
people need, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center is offering a Smoking
Cessation Group Program.  An individual intake appointment will
be scheduled prior to the first group session.

Bariatric Surgery Seminar 


Jefferson has successfully treated hundreds of patients
who used to be morbidly obese, and has earned designation
as a Center of Excellence from the American Society for
Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. Register for this seminar to
learn how our fully laparoscopic procedures can help you

Breast Cancer Screening

Free to un-insured & under-insured

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. 
Women ages 35 to 65 are encouraged to schedule
their annual mammogram for their breast health.
Methodist Hospital has set aside this date for
un-insured and under-insured women to get their
mammogram at no cost.

Childbirth Education Classes 


Jefferson OB/GYN is offering weekly Zoom Sessions for

No Cost Seasonal Flu
Immunization Clinic

An annual seasonal flu immunization is recommended to
protect your health and prevent the spread of flu to others.
Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, influenza vaccination
is even more important than in the past. All attendees will need
to wear a mask and social distancing will be required. If you are
experiencing any symptoms or have recently been exposed to
COVID-19, we ask that you stay at home.

The “Great Pumpkin Carve”    

Join us for a Halloween treat.  Choose your pumpkin and carve
your own Jack-O-Lantern. Carving kits provided or bring your
own tools.  Balloon Artist adds to the fun. Kids under 14 must
be accompanied by an adult. Wearing a regular mask and
social distancing is required. 
Presented by the South Broad Street Neighborhood Association (SBSNA).

Jefferson Rehabilitation Parkinson’s Disease Exercise Program

Don’t let Parkinson’s disease stop you from being “Strong and Steady.” Regular exercise can slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease and improve your overall level of fitness and well-being. Join our physical therapists in weekly exercise sessions and participate in seated aerobic exercises as well as balance and strengthening activities in a supportive group setting. Participants must be independently mobile or have an assistant (family member or caregiver) throughout the session. Physician approval is required. Eight (8) weekly sessions for a total cost of $40.


Family Therapy (FREE)

For Friends and Family of Loved Ones with Substance Use Disorder

Is someone you know suffering from an addictive disorder? Are you stressed or depressed about his or her addition? Do you want to motivate your loved one to seek treatment and decrease your own stress? Jefferson’s Division of Substance Abuse in the Department of Psychiatry is currently offering enrollment in a family therapy service designed specifically for the friends and family of those suffering from a substance use disorder. Group and individual services are available and offered at flexible times.
