Jena Clifton Baumann, MBA, NHA, is a transformative healthcare operations leader whose 23-year career embodies excellence, resilience, and a deep commitment to advancing patient care and empowering the teams she leads. As Vice President of Operations at Jefferson Methodist Hospital, Jena oversees a wide breadth of clinical and administrative service lines. Her leadership journey spans high-impact roles across the Jefferson system, including Associate Vice President of Healthcare Services and Senior Administrator of Long-Term Care, where she earned multi-year CMS 5-star ratings, improved patient safety outcomes, elevated NRC patient experience scores, and led teams through multiple deficiency-free Department of Health surveys.
Throughout her career, Jena has championed cultural transformation chairing committees focused on quality, safety, health equity, engagement, and values & habits while fostering workplaces where employees feel supported, valued, and empowered. She has developed systemwide initiatives adopted across the Jefferson system, including hospital transfer optimization and strengthened post-acute collaboration strategies that improved care transitions.
As VP of Operations at Jefferson Methodist Hospital, Jena’s vision is to build a high-reliability, patient-centered organization where operational excellence, compassionate care, and employee engagement work in harmony to elevate every patient’s experience. She is committed to driving innovation, strengthening cross-disciplinary collaboration, and positioning Methodist as a model of exceptional care delivery across the Jefferson system.
